Anthony Merlina had a drive-by birthday parade on March 7 to celebrate turning 4 years old.
Many vehicles passed by Merlina’s Putnam Street home for the John Deere-themed parade and people dropped off gifts for him.
The family had a cake outside to be safe with Merlina’s grandparents.

Two Suspects Charged With Felony Offenses Following Investigation

34-year-old Amber Dawn Harris and 37-year-old Ryan William Shambre, both of the same Putnam Street, Morganton, address, were arrested by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. Both suspects are charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Harris is additionally charged with felony counts of trafficking opium or heroin, trafficking in methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substance, and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana.

In times of social distancing, how does a public park project and monument owned by the City of Marietta see public engagement in decision-making?
“This is a more sophisticated version that you see of a lot of the city council meetings where they’re just doing Zoom meetings,” prefaced Kellie Grob, of 1218 Marketing and Communications LLC. “This is a software program that the Ohio Department of Transportation uses that allows the presenters to present and share slides and different things. And then it allows anybody in the public to interact, either through phone, email or chat box.”
