Adm. Sam Paparo, a native of Morton, Pennsylvania graduated from Villanova University and was commissioned in 1987. He is the son of a former enlisted Marine and the grandson of a World War 2 enlisted Sailor. He has earned a Master of Arts in International Studies from Old Dominion University and a Master of Science in Systems Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is also a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College, the Air War College, the Naval War College and the Joint and Combined Warfighting School. A U.S. Naval Aviator, he is a TOPGUN graduate and has flown over 6,000 hours in the F-14, F-15 and F/A-18 and 1,100 carrier landings.

U.S. Air Forces Central’s (AFCENT) 609th Air Operations Center (AOC) at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar has begun the transition to a cloud-based system to plan and execute air tasking orders (ATO) under the Master Air Attack Plan.
IRGC harasses US warships again

In a statement released on 11 May, the IRGC’s naval wing accused the USN of unprofessional conduct that included “firing flares and aimless and provocative shots” at its vessels, which it said were “observing the legal distance enshrined in maritime guidelines and regulations”.

Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Detachment 12 also known as Kessel Run is being implemented to phase out the legacy Theater Battle Management Core System, and is the future system for all AOCs across the Air Force.

Greg Guillot, 9th Air Force (Air Forces Central) commander. “Improving the Air Tasking Order process makes AFCENT and our distributed command and control capabilities more efficient, and this innovation will also help improve AOC operations across the Air Force and in other combatant commands.”
