Military jets kill bandits occupying Kaduna forests

Air platforms have conducted armed reconnaissance over Kaduna forests and killed scores of bandits.
The reconnaissance covered Sabon Birnin, Rikau, Kaya, Kerawa, Galadimawa, Fatika, Kidandan, Saulawa, Dogon Dawa, Ngade Allah, Kuduru, Yadi, Damari, Takama, Sabuwa, Ungwar Yako and its connecting track to Kuduru, as well as the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road all of Birnin Gwari, Chikun, Igabi and Giwa local government areas.
In a statement by Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, “according to the operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, Rikau was observed to be active with bandits. The location was engaged accordingly, with several bandits neutralized. ”

Some bandits have attacked Giwa and Zango-Kataf local government areas of Kaduna, killing three persons and injuring three others.
Mr Samuel Aruwa, the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, said in a statement on Monday that those injured are Fidelix Jacob, Abraham Isah and Philemon Adamu.

According to Aruwa, security agents recovered two AK-47 rifles with over 40 rounds of ammunition from two persons in the area amid the insecurity in the area.

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation has said Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2015 between President Muhammadu Buhari and Asiwaju Tinubu would have torn Nigeria apart.
Fani-Kayode said this while reacting to a statement by former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola that Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo was responsible for truncating the Buhari-Tinubu presidential ticket in 2015.
Fani-Kayode in a post on his Twitter page on Saturday agreed that although Obasanjo spoke against it, he was the first to blow the whistle against Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2015.
According to him, his contribution in 2015 was an historic one because a Muslim ticket would have been a deep insult to Christians and would have torn Nigeria apart.
Bandits kill 80-year-old woman, 4 others in parts of Kaduna

The Kaduna State Government said on Sunday that bandits killed an 80-year-old woman and four other people in separate attacks in parts of the state.
Mr Samuel Aruwan, the state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs disclosed this in a statement.
He said the old woman was killed when the bandits attacked Sharu village in Igabi Local Government Area (LGA) of the state where they raided several homes.
“As they shot sporadically, Hauwa Umaru, 80, was hit by a bullet and died instantly.
“In another incident, gunmen killed the Ward Head of Konti in Chikun LGA.

Some bandits have killed five people, including an 80-year-old woman, in separate attacks on three local government areas of Kaduna State.
The local government areas are Chikun, Igabi and Giwa.
The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the attacks on Sunday, said the state was informed of the development by security agencies.
Aruwan said some bandits raided several houses at Sharu village in the Igabi LGA.
The bandits, he said, invaded the village and shot indiscriminately, following which the octogenarian was hit by bullets and died on the spot.
