Dr. Miriam Klassen says she’s excited that COVID-19 cases continue to come down across the province but she’s concerned entering Step Three on Friday will lead to some people taking it as a signal that they can stop following public health measures. Under Step Three. outdoor gatherings of up to 100 people will be allowed and indoor social gatherings will increase to up to 25 people. Klassen says it’s important we keep following the steps that got us to this point.

The change was announced Wednesday morning and it will take effect on Friday as part of Step Three of Ontario’s reopening plan. Minister of Long-Term Care Rod Phillips says the move is based on the latest scientific evidence and best medical advice.
