Ezekiel Mutua Lectures Kenyans ‘making noise’ about Corruption
Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua took his infamous ‘morality cop’ and ‘deputy Jesus’ tags a notch higher on Wednesday as he lashed out at Kenyans for complaining about corruption.
In a series of posts on Twitter, Mutua accused Kenyans of double standards saying most of them are corrupt but only lack an opportunity to practice the vice.
“Most Kenyans are corrupt, they only lack the opportunity to steal. You can rant till cows come home, but majority of the people making noise on social media always elect their corrupt tribal kingpins, in the hope of eating together. It’s all about the opportunity to eat. SAD!” read one of the tweets.

Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua on Wednesday hit out at Kenyans for double standards, stating that most of them are actually corrupt but only lack an opportunity to steal. Through a series of tweets, Mutua noted that most netizens who ‘make noise’ on social media often elect leaders along tribal lines in the hope of getting kickbacks later.
“Those shouting about corruption and bad governance are the ones who demand for money from people vying for political offices. They do not elect leaders on their ability to lead, but on the basis of who can give handouts. It s difficult to be elected in Kenya without money,” he tweeted.
He also said Omondi had agreed to pull down what was deemed explicit videos on his social media platforms.
“Eric has agreed to our conditions for an out-of-court settlement. He has agreed to take down all explicit content from his social media platforms. I have appointed a Mediation Committee led by Jalang’o, Churchill, and other top artistes to meet the KFCB team and DCI on Monday,” said Mutua, in a statement on his social media pages.
Ndambuki is remembered for giving Omondi his breakthrough on his popular Churchill Live show years back.
Jalang’o, a renowned radio and TV presenter, is known to be close to Omondi since the duo’s days as colleagues at Radio Africa Group.
