Dark Knight, Shrek, Blues Brothers and more added to National Film Registry

Every year, the National Film Registry inducts films that represent the best that cinema has to offer. Over the years, their library has included some of the most iconic motion pictures of all time. 2020 is no different with a list of inductees that includes everything from a DC Comics superhero to a green ogre.
Joining the registry this year are films such as
A Clockwork Orange (1971),
Shrek (2001),

The Dark Knight , Grease and Shrek are among the 25 films inducted into the U.S. National Film Registry this year.
Each year, 25 films released more than ten years ago are selected by officials from America s Library of Congress to be added to the registry for being culturally, historically or aesthetically important.
This year s list was released on Monday, December 14, with The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan honoured by his film s inclusion.

Christopher Nolan has celebrated an announcement that The Dark Knight will be inducted to the U.S National Film Registry.
Managed by The Library of Congress, 25 movies have been added to the Film Registry every year since 1988 to draw attention to film conservation. Movies are selected on the basis of being culturally, historically or aesthetically significant.
Nolan revelled in The Dark Knight s inclusion on the Registry, telling Variety: “This is not only a great honour for all of us who worked on The Dark Knight, this is also a tribute to all of the amazing artists and writers who have worked on the great mythology of Batman over the decades.”
