Victoria s NSW border will close to anyone who is from or has visited Greater Sydney and the Central Coast from midnight on Sunday, with anyone entering after that time ordered into hotel quarantine.

Victorians get a grace period; if they return home by midnight on Monday, they can quarantine at home provided they get a COVID-19 test within 24 hours. From midnight on Monday, they will also enter hotel quarantine.

The Sydney to Hobart yacht race has been cancelled for the first time in 76 years amid the Northern Beaches COVID cluster, with racing officials saying they are “bitterly disappointed”.
The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia issued a statement saying they had already organised for the race to be conducted in a COVID-safe way.
“We are bitterly disappointed to cancel the race this year especially considering the plans and preparations we had put in place to have a COVID safe race.”
Around 150 sailors in the race are from the Northern Beaches which is in the Greater Sydney hotspot.
