Gen Bajwa, Saudi counterpart discuss Afghan peace process

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday called on Saudi Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Gen Fayiadh Bin Hamed al Rowaily in Riyadh, where they discussed military to military cooperation and the Afghan peace process.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including Afghan peace process, defence and security and military to military cooperation were discussed, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.
Gen Bajwa emphasised the need to further enhance military to military cooperation between the two armed forces and said Pakistan-KSA cooperation will have a positive impact on peace and security in the region.

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday called for more military to military cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement. RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met Chinese envoy Nong Rong on Monday and discussed matters of mutual interest, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). COAS thanked the dignitary for China’s contribution towards the fight against COVID-19 in Pakistan and said that Pakistan Army greatly values its friendly relations with China, said the military s media wing after the meeting between Chinese envoy and the COAS at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

RAWALPINDI: Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Suh Sangpyo Thursday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa here.
Matters of mutual interest, regional security and enhanced bilateral & defence cooperation came under discussion.
Gen Bajwa said Pakistan attached great importance to furthering relations with the Republic of Korea in all domains.
Both reiterated the desire to further enhance bilateral relations including efforts for peace and security in the region. Suh Sangpyo appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region and facilitating the Afghan peace process.
