General Motors Special Vehicles, or GMSV for short, has announced the 50+ stores that will make up its Australian and New Zealand dealership network.
The GMSV dealer network includes 44 storefronts in Australia and an additional six in New Zealand. All of these stores are open for business now, GMSV director Joanne Stogiannis confirmed this week, and says more GMSV storefronts will be added in the not-too-distant future.
“We have launched with over fifty GM Specialty Vehicles dealers and look forward to adding more,” Stogiannis said. “We can’t wait to see the first Silverados being driven out of our GMSV showrooms.”

General Motors will pause production of the C8 Corvette for two days this week due to a parts shortage from a supplier plant in Mexico.

th after COVID-19 restrictions in Mexico lead to a parts shortage at the plant. Production of the mid-engine sports car is scheduled to resume on Monday, November 16
th. This will prevent roughly 540 Corvettes from being built this week.
This minor hiccup could set GM back a bit further as it works to fulfill the remaining 2020 Corvette orders so it can switch to the production of the 2021 model by December 8

The 2021 Corvette Stingray will start at just under $150,000 AUD when it arrives in Australia next year.
General Motors Special Vehicles announced this week the 2021 Corvette Stingray will be priced from $149,990 AUD, equivalent to about $113,000 USD based on current exchange rates.

WhichCar, GMSV decided to slap the mid-engine Corvette with a steep sticker price due to high demand for the right-hand-drive version of the sports car in the country. The vehicle was previously set to arrive in Australia under the now-defunct Holden brand and would have been sold through its network of dealers. Holden management had decided on a cheaper base price of $129,990,
