Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, based in Vancouver, announced Tuesday that it is receiving a $7,000 donation from Thrivent to help families in Clark County stay in their homes.
Thrivent, a Fortune 500 financial company, is donating the money to allow Habitat to provide mortgage relief to Habitat homeowners who need temporary assistance making their mortgage payments during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This support will sustain affordable homeownership costs for more than 12 families in Clark County.
Evergreen Habitat is one of 100 local Habitat organizations across the United States partnering with Thrivent to help families stay in their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thrivent is donating $750,000 to Habitat for Humanity across the nation to assist with mortgage-related relief and prevent foreclosures.
