Queenslanders are facing an anxious wait today after a woman infected with COVID-19 in Sydney toured the State s southeast.
The new case is connected to Sydney s Northern Beaches cluster which now includes 28 positive cases of COVID-19, with more infections to be announced today.
The woman arrived at the Brisbane Airport on Wednesday before being picked up by a hire car at Boondall.

The case then headed to lunch at the Glen Hotel in Eight Mile Plains before travelling to the Sunshine Coast.

Almost 4000 Queenslanders came forward for a COVID-19 test during the past 24-hour period and there were no positive results, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has confirmed.
It came after COVID alerts were issued on Friday for venues across the state s south-east, after a Sydney woman in her 50s picked up the virus in the city s Northern Beaches and visited Queensland.
However, the news in New South Wales is not so good, with another 23 COVID-19 cases from testing in the 24 hours to 8pm on Friday and the state s total stands at 30.
