Creepshowreboot for a third season ahead of the Season 2 premiere this April, the spine-tingling platform confirmed Thursday.
A sophomore outing of the horror anthology was ordered in October 2019, but production was delayed for several months by the COVID-19 health crisis. Nevertheless, the crew was still able to deliver holiday specials for Halloween (an animated venture) and Christmas ( Shapeshifters Anonymous ) in October and December of last year. The third season of six episodes is set to air later this year. Its truncated episode count (for comparison, Season 2 has nine installments) is most likely a reflection of the pandemic.
Last year, it was announced that Netflix had ordered an eight-episode long comic book adaptation of
Sweet Tooth, a drama based on the characters created by Jeff Lemire for the DC Comics Vertigo label, and now, it seems like the series has officially wrapped filming.
According to Lemire in his latest newsletter (via Bleeding Cool), the upcoming Netflix series has recently completed filming and will release on the streaming service sometime in 2021.
