DHAKA, April 6, 2021 (BSS) – Describing Bangladesh as a promising destination for the US business and investment, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today offered a special economic zone (EPZ) and a high-tech park to the American companies for their investments in a large scale.
“We are offering one dedicated Special Economic Zone (EPZ) for American companies to establish manufacturing facilities,” she said while virtually launching the US-Bangladesh Business Council through a message.
Pointing out that Bangladesh is now developing 28 Hi-tech parks for ICT industries with local and foreign investments, she said, “We are offering one Hi-Tech Park for ICT investment by US companies.”

A senior diplomat of the US government said that Bangladesh’s founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a ‘towering figure of the twentieth century’ who shaped modern Bangladesh.
Acting Assistant Secretary of Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs of the US Department of State Dean Thompson stated this while speaking at a webinar on Sunday to commemorate the historic March 7 speech delivered by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Thompson in his speech said that the historic speech inspired the people of Bangladesh to fight for independence and continues to inspire the people of Bangladesh to develop their country even further.
Two-month long art show on Sheikh Hasina ends with tributes to Bangabandhu

The two-month-long art exhibition, hosted by Gallery Cosmos, on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina concluded on Tuesday, with rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The group art exhibition titled “Sheikh Hasina: On the Right Side of History” painted an elaborate picture of her journey from a cheerful teenager to a mother figure to millions of Bangladeshis who inspires to strive towards a brighter future emerging out of the ethos of darkness.
On the concluding day of the exhibition, former Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique said the artists nicely depicted Sheikh Hasina’s expressions, gestures and postures to show how Bangabandhu’s daughter overcame various obstacles and challenges in her long political career.
