The winners of the ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon 2021’ pose with Chief of the Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed during the prize distribution ceremony at Hatirjheel Amphitheatre in the capital on Sunday.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon 2021 was held in the city on Sunday under the arrangement of Bangladesh Army to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as part of the ‘Mujib Borsho’.
The day marks the historic Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu as he had returned to independent and sovereign Bangladesh on this day in 1972 after over nine and a half months of captivity in a Pakistan jail.
