GLOVERSVILLE – A joint news release from Mayor Vincent DeSantis and Anthony “Tony” Casale Thursday announced Casale will end his 11-year tenure as city attorney on Sept. 4.
“Throughout the last several days, we have met and discussed the history of events that have unfolded over the last several months,” reads the news release. “We mutually agree that rather than going down a path of potential further controversy over the next several weeks and months, it would be better for both the city and Attorney Casale for us to amicably part ways and end on a high note.”
Trump s pro-life stance and close ties with Christian evangelicals drew others to the event.
A devout Christian, Paul Dayton King, 38, moved from Brooklyn, New York, to Phoenix partly to enroll in barber s school but more so because of a higher calling.
“God told me to come to Arizona,” Dayton King said.
The 2020 presidential election marked the first time Dayton King voted in his life. “I just wasn t a part of it,” Dayton King said. “I always felt like, whatever is gonna happen, it s gonna happen. This election is a prime example of whatever they want happening, they make happen.”
Like many Trump supporters, he believes the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump. He claimed that he encountered voter fraud when he went to vote at the local voting center in Flatbush, New York. Even if Trump didn t win the 2020 election, Dayton King said he believes God chose Trump.

GLOVERSVILLE – Members of the Common Council are consulting the city’s labor attorney Bryan Goldberger on the crafting of a “No Confidence” resolution for 2020 Republican mayoral candidate and current city Councilman-at-large William Rowback Jr.
Council members Monday, however, said they doubt the resolution will be ready for Tuesday night’s council meeting.
“I’m 99.99 percent sure it won’t happen, because we’re dealing with a lot of things and this one has been pushed out for a couple of weeks,” said Marcia Weiss, 1st Ward councilwoman.
