DC Samba visits Ghagwal sub division, reviews development works around Nar Singh Dev Temple

May 8, 2021 The Deputy Commissioner Samba was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Suram Chand Sharma; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ramkesh Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jatinder Mishra and other revenue staff as well. During the tour, Deputy Commissioner Samba visited Narsingh Dev Mandir and vicinity. She inspected the development works under taken under various schemes in the sub division including Gaushala, park, development of temple premises. The Deputy Commissioner, while reviewing the development works, said the government has taken up various initiatives to promote and preserve the historical revered Nar Singh Dev Mandir. She said that steps shall be taken to renovate pond adjoining the temple to promote its aesthetic view, while land for developing a spiritual centre shall also be taken up. The DC samba also laid emphasis upon taking tough against any attempts to encroach the temple land.

Bahadurgarh man gives 2-acre land to agitating Punjab farmers for cultivation

4441 2 Ravinder Saini Jhajjar, April 8 A retired customs officer residing at Balor village on the Tikri-Bahadurgarh border has provided two acres of his agricultural land to a group of agitating farmers from Amritsar to grow vegetables. “These farmers have been camping adjacent to my fields for the last four months. Earlier, I provided them with the facilities of bathing, toilets, besides offering them milk and food on many occasions. Recently, they approached me to take the land on rent for cultivation to meet the shortage of vegetables. But I gave them land free of cost on humanitarian grounds as they are fighting the battle for the entire farming community,” said Nar Singh Rao.
