ABS, NTU, Singapore, and ASTI joint study to explore the potential for ammonia as a marine fuel in Singapore
ABS, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and the Ammonia Safety and Training Institute (ASTI) are collaborating on a study of the potential of ammonia for Singapore, exploring supply, bunkering, and safety challenges with the marine fuel.
Titled Ammonia as a Marine Fuel in Singapore – Supply Chain, Bunker Safety, and Potential Issues, the joint study will look at safety protocols and possible gaps in the supply chain of ammonia as a marine fuel, specifically bunkering for marine vessels.
ExxonMobil, Hoegh LNG, MAN Energy Solutions Singapore, Jurong Port, PSA Singapore and ITOCHU Group with their partners, are initial project partners, contributing technical information about marine fuel handling, vessel to vessel transfer and bunkering in the Port of Singapore.
SINGAPORE - University students are grabbing work stints in the hope of beefing up their portfolios and securing jobs after graduation.
In her three years in school, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) accountancy graduate Pek Jia Wei completed three internships. She received two full-time job offers after that. It s very common to take up more than one internship because you will lose out if you don t, she said. I came from a junior college background, so it s really important to have work experiences otherwise it s hard to give employers examples of your strengths.
Ms Pek, 21, accepted a management trainee position with Nestle and started working full time with the food and beverage company in July last year.
We’ve eradicated sex-for-marks in Bayelsa varsity – NDU
Daniels Igoni, Yenagoa
THE Public Relations Officer of the Bayelsa State-owned Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Mr Ingezi Idon, said the university had eradicated sex-for-marks syndrome and moved beyond the era where lecturers would sleep with female students in order to award them marks for courses of study.
Idon was reacting to claims by the Bayelsa-born first female First Class Law graduate of the NDU, Ebizi Eradiri, that some randy lecturers in the university almost scuttled her ambition of making first class with their sex overtures.
She made the allegation while speaking during a homecoming reception tagged #Schoolnobescam held in her honour by the Sele Eradiri Foundation in collaboration with other non-governmental organisations in Yenagoa.
