NXT Reveals Next Week s Match Lineup (April 27)
✖
Last night s NXT was excelled at planting seeds for new rivalries, and thankfully they aren t waiting on launching most of those, as many will get addressed in matches on next week s show. So far we ve got three confirmed matches for next week s NXT and probably a fourth match already lined up. That s not counting the teases and building towards bigger feuds over the long haul, like Kyle O Reilly vs Karrion Kross, which was foreshadowed in a big way throughout the episode, so to say it was an action-packed night would be an understatement. So, without further ado, here s what we have lined up for next week.
While last week s edition of
Monday Night Raw did see a couple of surprise returns, the show was overall panned by critics for not living up to the usual hype surrounding the first Raw after WrestleMania. A report came out later in the week via
Fightful Select that the brand was just short-handed in general, partially because some of the wrestlers were banged up following
WrestleMania 37 weekend while others were showing COVID-19 symptoms and had been taken off the show as a precaution.
Tuesday s
Wrestling Observer Radio saw Dave Meltzer follow-up on that report, stating that there was a small COVID outbreak but it was unclear who had tested positive.

WrestleMania 37 opened with yet another chapter in the ongoing storyline surrounding The Fiend and Alexa Bliss, and once again fans were left with more questions than answers. Wyatt arrived for his match against Randy Orton by transforming back into a fully-healed version of The Fiend and easily bashed the former world champion in and around the ring. But just as he was about to hit Sister Abigail and put Orton away pyro shot off from the four corner posts. Suddenly Bliss was in a new, darker outfit with a crown around her head that began bleeding black liquid down her face.
WWE s Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair Join Raquel Gonzalez For Amazing NXT Champions Reunion
✖
The NXT Women s Championship was on the line last week during TakeOver: Stand and Deliver, and Io Shirai and Raquel Gonzalez put on one hell of a match as they battled for the prestigious title. It would be Gonzalez however that got the upper hand, and after she defeated Shirai she would become the new NXT Women s Champion. Gonzalez revealed she would be discussing her plans and talking about the big win on tonight s NXT, and she delivered on that promise.
Gonzalez said last time she got that chance she wasn t ready, but that then he made a promise to move faster, hit harder, and lift heavier, and now she stands her as the NXT Women s Champion.
