Police charge man over service station armed robbery last month at Nowra
A man has been charged over an alleged armed robbery at a service station in Nowra last month.
About 11.10pm on Friday 28 May 2021, a man entered a service station on Kalandar Street, East Nowra, with a 23-year-old woman.
A scuffle broke out at the rear of the premises, where it will be alleged the man stole the woman’s handbag, before kicking her.
A 23-year-old man who was inside the service station then intervened, before the other man allegedly swung a 40cm machete at him and demanded his bag.

Driver disqualified until 2039 charged with drug supply – Operation Furious
Police have charged a man with driving, drugs and weapons offences during Operation Furious on the state’s South Coast.
Officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command – Traffic Operations Group were performing duties as part of Operation Furious when they attempted to stop a Mercedes Benz about 10pm Saturday (15 May 2021), as it was driven along the Princes Highway, Nowra.
Checks revealed the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant relating to a revocation of bail.
The 37-year-old man was arrested after a short chase on foot.
When police searched the car, they seized a machete, a hand flare, methamphetamine, prescription medication, cash, digital scales and drug paraphernalia.
