Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has offered 61 production licenses to 30 companies on the Norwegian continental shelf in the
Award in Pre-Defined Areas 2020 (APA 2020). I am pleased to offer 61 new production licenses in this year s APA round to a diverse range of companies. These companies have shown great interest in gaining access to new exploration acreage, illustrating the industry s confidence in continued profitability from exploration on the Norwegian continental shelf. This is good news for the Norwegian state as resource owner, says Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Tina Bru.
Aker wins Bid for OLP3 onshore scope
, December 29, 2020 Aker Solutions has been awarded a letter of intent from Norske Shell for the Ormen Lange Phase 3 (OLP3) onshore project. The scope is to integrate the wet gas subsea compression system with the Nyhamna onshore gas plant in Norway. Subsea compression will enable increased recovery from the Shell-operated Ormen Lange field. Aker Solutions’ scope includes a 500-metric-tonne module which will be fabricated at the company’s yard in Egersund, Norway. The contract will have a value of approximately NOK 600 million ($69.6 million). The delivery will include both engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI). The awarded contract is a continuation of the front-end engineering and design (FEED) delivered by Aker Solutions.
