NORRISTOWN - Authorities in Montgomery County are investigating after they say someone opened fire on a Democratic Committee building late Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies from the Norristown Police Department were called to the office on East Airy Street just before 5 p.m. when the committee s executive director reportedly discovered three bullet holes in the front window.
The director, identified by police as Brian Levy, told officers he believes the shots were fired when the building was unoccupied between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

Three bullet holes riddled the front windows of the Norristown building on E. Airy Street. Officers were alerted around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday after Brian Levy, the committee’s executive director, called in the shooting, Norristown Police Department Chief Mark Talbot said.

“While [Wednesday] was a good day for the nation and the rule of law, I regret to inform you that also [Wednesday] someone shot three bullets into the office of MCDC through the front window,” committee Chairman Joe Foster said in a statement.

NORRISTOWN Police are investigating after gunshots were apparently fired through the front window of a Democratic Party office in a suburban Philadelphia county, officials said.
No one was reported injured.
The city of Norristown said the executive director of the Montgomery County Democratic Party discovered the bullet holes in the building’s front window on Wednesday afternoon. He believes the shots were fired sometime Tuesday evening or overnight into Wednesday morning, when no one was present in the building, city officials said.
