Inquiry panel recommended action against labs, hospital for exploiting patients
The Puducherry Health Department has asked the district administration to initiate action against three private laboratories for conducting COVID-19 tests without permission.
The labs are Selvan Lab, Red Clinic Lab and ECG, Reddiayarpalayam and M. S Diagnostic Lab, Lawspet.
The department had also sought proceedings against East Coast Hospitals, Moolakulam, for charging fees in excess of the fixed rate for antigen and RT-PCR test.

Amid the rising Mucormycosis, commonly known as black fungus, cases across the country, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers on Tuesday informed that it has allocated 19,420 additional vials of Amphotericin-B to various States and Union Territories. Additional 19,420 vials of #Amphotericin-B have been allocated to all States/UTs and Central Institutions today. Besides this, 23680 vials of Amphotericin- B were allocated across country on 21st May , tweeted the Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, DV Sadananda Gowda.

Maharashtra has gotten 4,060 vials. Additional 19,420 vials of #Amphotericin-B have been allocated to all States/UTs and Central Institutions today. Mucormycosis or black fungus is a fungal infection caused by exposure to mucor mould which is commonly found in soil, plants, manure, and decaying fruits and vegetables.
The PIB Fact Check team has quashed the viral video, which claims curing the mucormycosis by basic home remedies using turmeric powder and alum. Calling the video as 'FAKE', the PIB Fact Check team warned the people against trusting such claims to cure any such serious health issue.
