Skuse Fine But Bishop a Doubt

Town boss Mick McCarthy says he expects midfielder Cole Skuse to be fine to face Norwich in Sunday’s East Anglian derby at Carrow Road but Teddy Bishop has emerged as a concern due to an ankle injury, while several other players remain sidelined.
McCarthy says he “100 per cent” expects Skuse to be OK, the 28-year-old having been subbed in the first half of Tuesday s 4-2 victory over Birmingham: “He’s just told me he’ll be fit and I believe him, I’ve no reason not to.
“Skusey’s played most games, he’s not one of them that’s going to say ‘Gaffer, I’ll be fit’ when he’s not.
Town have confirmed the signing of Leicester City striker Chris Wood on loan for the rest of the season with the Foxes able to recall him at 24 hours notice after the first 28 days.

Daryl Murphy and Luke Chambers netted second-half headers as the Blues came from a goal down at half-time to defeat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 at Portman Road. A defensive mix-up between Bartosz Bialkowski and Christophe Berra led to Kieran Lee putting the Owls in front on 20 but the Blues were always on top and Murphy flicked home a Freddie Sears cross on 52, his 19th goal of the season, and Chambers powered in the winner 15 minutes later from Kevin Bru’s ball in from the left.
Boss Mick McCarthy made five changes to his starting line-up with Sears handed his full debut up front alongside Murphy with David McGoldrick missing out due to the thigh injury he suffered at Rotherham.
Noel Concentrating on Town

Noel Hunt admits he has put all thoughts of an international recall to the back of his mind, instead preferring to concentrate on Town’s bid to win promotion to the Premier League.
Capped four times at senior level, but not since October 2009, Hunt has made it clear his priority is to impress sufficiently during the remainder of his contract at Portman Road, which is due to expire at the end of the season, in order to earn an extension.
Hunt, 32, said: “Right now I’ve got whatever is left of the season to prove I’m a good player and that I can play at this level, which I think I can and I think I’ve shown I can.
