I wasn t particularly nervous until the hour before I was to get my COVID-19 vaccine. There were several questions I still had, but the thought of taking a trip or seeing family members I hadn t in a while was enough for me to say I would get it.
An opportunity was presented to me to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in my capacity as a teacher, working two days a week at Notre Dame High School. The appointment window opened and I ran through it, scheduling my single dose vaccine at Griffiss International Airport in Rome.
Several people I spoke to regarding the vaccine had mixed emotions or feelings on the topic. Many said to me they d never get it, while others claimed they couldn t wait to get their shot. For me, I trust that it was approved by the FDA for a reason and it can only be of benefit.

His success in the ring led him to taking a leading role outside it as an ambassador for disabled rights.
As I walked into the nearly empty gym at Notre Dame Junior/Senior High School I was wondering what the energy would feel like ahead of one of the biggest rivalries in the Tri-Valley League. I can tell you it was far from ordinary.

Johnson was the 102nd recruit in Tennessee and the 3022nd national recruit in the 2017 cycle, according to 247 Sports. He finished his time at Tulane with the most sacks in school history with 24.5 sacks in four seasons.
He also had 132 tackles and 35 for a loss with the Green Wave. Earned a spot on the American All-Conference Team in 2018, was second-team in 2019, and was first-team in 2020 again. According to Pro Football Focus, Johnson had 44 quarterback pressures, and he was graded out as the highest edge rusher in the AAC back in 2018.

M Power U students typically present their legislative wish-list to legislators in Des Moines when they visit the state s Capitol building during Southeast Iowa Days, but because of COVID-19, they made their presentation at SCC, first virtually with two legislators in attendance and a second time to Gobble, a Danville native, in person.
