In addition to provision of packet-based IP routing solutions, Nokia will support and manage migration of legacy non-IP aviation applications to the new network. Nokia will also supply a range of operational aviation-specific professional services for network design, architecture, integration and deployment. Upon deployment completion in 2021, Nokia will deliver long-term support and maintenance.
The Nokia solution will increase existing data capacity throughput for aviation control systems and ensure smooth and safe operation of aircraft movements throughout the airspace and ground control.
The train operator has commissioned 15 Stadler KISS trains for the Vienna to Salzburg line, which are double-decker (pictured).
Nokia will supply, deploy and maintain Wi-Fi access points, intelligent multi-path switching and control systems at WESTbahn’s Operations Control Centre (OCC).

The Nokia solution is intended to provide on-board operations and passengers with secure, reliable broadband across the new fleet.
Nokia has deployed its train-to-ground solution in several urban and metro rail networks, and has expertise in GSM-R, a secure platform for voice and data communication between railway operational staff, and its successor, the Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS).

Voice over 5G (Vo5G) to
enhance its cloud infrastructure and improve data and voice connectivity for Tele2 s subscribers in
