Toyota Tacoma has been the top selling midsize truck in America for a decade and a half. Now those are some strong bragging rights.
Especially with all the competition in its market segment.
When you are as tough and rugged and reliable and dependable as Tacoma, though, it becomes quite clear why consumers choose Tacoma over all others.
Plus, add in the fact that Toyota Tacoma has the highest resale value over all cars, trucks and SUVs across all brands. That might just seal the deal, so to speak.

Almost Perfect

The 2021 Toyota Tacoma would almost be the perfect pickup for me. Only four things keep the test Tacoma from being ideal for me and I’ll get to them at the end of this article.
None of them are fatal.
I will say that I seem to be in the minority in my opinion of the Tacoma. 2020 Tacoma sales were about 240,000 units (down slightly from the previous year like most makes/models).
The next closest competitor was 100,000 + down from that number. So although the Tacoma is way off the F150’s numbers, in the mid-size market it rules.

2021 Toyota Camry SE Nightshade Edition AWD
Safe, beautiful, fun to drive
There were numerous impressive things I liked about the Camry SE Nightshade Edition right off the bat. Even with just a quick glance, all those gloss black Nightshade Edition accents on the outside is a real head turner. The most prominent feature lies in the four corners: 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels. Other eye-catching blacked-out parts include door handles, side mirror caps, badging, window trims, lip spoiler, shark fin antenna, and front grille with sport mesh inserts.
Choose Midnight Black Metallic exterior paint, and you have a stealth fighter Camry. Surprisingly, you can actually pair Nightshade goodies with Super White or Celestial Silver Metallic paint as well. The interior is only available in Black SofTex.

(January 21, 2021) Ford Motor Company is recalling 3 million vehicles due to potential issues with their airbag inflators. Earlier this week, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) ordered the automaker to issue the recall for driver-side airbag inflators, which could rupture during a crash and send potentially deadly metal fragments flying, according to a report from CNBC.
