12.39 pm, Saturday, 3rd April, 2021. That was when I last spoke with my friend, Innocent Chukwuma. My calling him was prompted by the disturbing information I just then received from Dr Chidi Odinkalu that Innocent was unwell and that his condition appeared to be serious. I was alarmed and wasn’t sure if he was able to speak but I tried, reluctantly. I was glad he took my call, and I asked him if he was fine. He said he wasn’t quite well and I told him I was concerned about the information I received about his illness and hospitalisation.

It appears the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) in Ogun State might be having parallel executives if claims by one Adeyemi Samson Ajasa is anything to go by.
Ajasa, a student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, has come out to say he is the duly elected NANS Chairman in Ogun State.
Earlier, it was reported that Damilola Simeon was elected on Saturday as the new Chairman of NANS in Ogun State.
Simeon claimed to have polled nine of the total 10 accredited voters to emerge winner of the election.
But, in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Wednesday, Ajasa said the election that produced Simeon was null and void.
The Director-General of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Dr Salihu Lukman on Tuesday faulted the 2020 Corruption perception Index (CPI) released by Transparency International, saying it is part of a campaign for 2023.
Lukman made the assertions in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, adding that the report painted a picture that suggests that the current All Progressives Congress (APC) administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has lost the fight against corruption.
Noting that such a report should be of concerns to well-meaning Nigerians, Lukman said what the report is trying to say is that to fight corruption based on the perception of Nigerian businesses and country experts, there must be a change of government.
