Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has revealed that certain politicians who were enemies of the country are frustrating the war against insecurity by President Muhammadu Buhari and are politicizing insecurity for selfish political and economic gains.
He made this statement at an event, where he congratulated the President, Katsina State government, parents and families of the recently released kidnapped schoolboys where he also lauded the Nigeria Army for their swift response.
The Governor charged head of security agencies in the country to act professionally and expose these persons sabotaging security efforts to the public so as to face the full wrath of the law and be known for who they truly are by the Nigerian people.

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has called for greater caution in the wake of the resurgence of COVID-19 in some states, saying the current economic recession has justified his decision not to lock down the state when almost the entire country was on lockdown.
Bello spoke at the Government House in Lokoja where he was conferred with an award of excellence.
According to him, the lockdown imposed on the country led to the loss of lives and livelihoods, saying he resisted the urge to shut down his state, as the pandemic had been politicised.
