EFCC arraigns P&ID Director over money laundering

EFCC arraigns P&ID Director over money laundering P&ID, a British Virgin Island firm, had obtained an $8.9billion judgment from a U.K court against Nigeria over a failed gas processing contract that the Federal Government described as fraudulent. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Monday, arraigned a Commercial Director of the Process and Industrial Development (P&ID) Limited, Mohammed Kuchazi, for money laundering, among other offences. A statement by the EFCC said Mr Kuchazi was arraigned alongside his company, Kore Holdings Limited, before Folashade Ogunbanjo-Giwa of the Federal High Court, Abuja. The defendants pleaded not guilty to the eight counts which the defendants allegedly committed in 2014.

COVID-19: Elzakzaky's Son Withdraws Request For Mother's Treatment In Isolation Centre – Channels Television

  Two days after securing a court order for Zeenat Elzakzaky, the wife of the embattled leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim Elzakzaky to be sent to isolation centre to be treated for COVID-19,  her family and counsels have informed the court that she is recovering from the deadly virus and will no longer need to be moved from the Nigerian Correctional Centre for treatment. The son of Elzakzaky,  Mohammed said in a statement that the decision not to evacuate his mother to an isolation centre as he earlier requested is based on the fact that all the NCDC approved COVID-19 treatment centres in Kaduna state were found to be inadequate to treat his mother, most especially due to her numerous underlying health challenges.

Court Adjourns El-Zakzaky's Trial to March 8 & 9 – Channels Television

El-Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat   The couple have been in detention since their arrest in December 2015 following a bloody clash between the Shiites and soldiers in Zaria, Kaduna State. Speaking to reporters after the court proceedings, counsel to El-Zakzaky says the prosecution is expected to close its case in the next sitting.
