Thirty-seven inmates of the Ibara Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Ogun State Command have been matriculated by the National Open University of Nigeria.
The inmates were admitted to study various courses such as Business Administration, Political Science, Criminology and Security Studies, Journalism, Peace and Conflict Resolution, Accounting, Economics, Christian Religious Studies and Economics Education.
This was disclosed in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Victor Oyeleke.

Unknown gunmen are currently attacking Orji Divisional Police Headquarters in Owerri, Imo state, multiple sources told SaharaReporters

On April 5, armed men invaded the headquarters of the Imo State Police Command and the Nigerian Correctional Service in Owerri, burnt the facilities and freed over 1,800 inmates.
Few days after, the country home of the state governor, Hope Uzodinma in Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area of the state was invaded by gunmen.
During the attack, they burnt part of the building and razed some vehicles in the compound, killing at least a security official.
