With N194 billion of the outstanding Export Expansion Grant (EEG) already settled via promissory notes from the Debt Management Office (DMO), the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has given assurance of the approval and settlement of the remaining N156 billion by the National Assembly. According to the NEPC, the backlog remains unsettled as it did not scale through the passage by the previous session of the National Assembly but expressed optimism that the ninth assembly would consider the settlement to promote non-oil exports.

The Italian Trade Agency, ITA, Monday, wooed Nigerian agric produce exporters following demands of fruits and vegetables in the European market.
This was made made during a media parley at E-Lab Innova training in Nigeria, which was launched by the ITA as part of its commitment to boost trade relationships with Nigeria.
It is also an educational training programme for the agri-food sector in Nigeria, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Nigerian Export Promotion Commission, NEPC, alongside other Italian partners, including MACFRUT, a leading exhibition for the agribusiness industry.

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has promised to increased support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria as a means to boost the manufacturing capacity of the country.
Speaking at the tour of Halibiz facility at industrial layout Idu, Abuja, the Executive Director of Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Mr Segun Awolowo, noted that it was important for the government to improve support to SMEs in the country in order to create more jobs and also increased the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) through export.
Also at the tour were the Managing Director, NEXIM Bank, Abubakar Abba Bello and the Executive Secretary of Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Ms Yewande Sadiku.
