The Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC) said in Abuja on Tuesday that it would resist Federal Government’s plan not to remit the 4.2 million Pounds looted by James Ibori to Delta.
Last Tuesday, Nigeria and the UK signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Abuja to repatriate the money looted by James Ibori when he was governor of Delta.
The money, stashed in the UK was recovered by the British government from Ibori, his friends and family members and is expected to be repatriated to Nigeria next Tuesday.
At the signing of the MOU, Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, said the money would be committed to completing the Second Niger Bridge, the Abuja-Kano Highway, and the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

ABUJA The Nigeria Ethnic Youth Leaders Council has lauded the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, over the bank’s Healthcare Sector Research and Development Intervention Scheme.
The council, which is made up of the Arewa Consultative Youth Movement, Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Youth Movement, Niger Delta Youth Council, Oduduwa Youths and Middle Belt Youths, says the move will make Nigeria a global vaccine development and medical tourism hub in future.
A statement by Nwada Ike Chiamaka,Ohanaeze Secretary General and Head of Coalition Secretariat,said,”This is clear from the statement credited to the apex bank that it received over 286 proposals from the public for grants under the scheme.”

ABUJA-THE Niger Delta Youth Council,NDYC, has elected Comrade Collins Ufuoma Achakpekri as its Director for International Relations.
As director on international relations,Achakpekri is saddled with the responsibility to coordinate affairs of all youths of the region to ameliorate the several challenges experienced by its members abroad.
A statement signed by NDYC national coordinator, Engr. Jator Abido, explained that the election of a director for international relations became pertinent following barrage of complaints by youths undergoing scholarship programmes sponsored by the Niger Delta Development Commission,NDDC, Presidential Amnesty Programme and other beneficiaries from other multi-national oil companies of poor funding and welfare.

The coalition,in a statement, Tuesday,signed by Nwada Ike Chiamaka,Ohanaeze Secretary General and Head of coalition’s secretariat,said the policy which took effect on Monday has increased activities in the banking sector therefore boosting the nation’s economy.
