Make-A-Wish New Jersey, Jersey Mike s team up to grant 11-year-old Edison boy his wish

❯ METUCHEN – Eleven-year-old Victor Flores wore his orange “I am a Warrior” T-shirt proudly as he headed to Jersey Mike’s Subs for an early lunch with his family and best friend. Little did he know on the morning of March 30 that his wish was about to come true of a shopping spree of new electronics – especially the coveted, difficult-to-get Xbox Series X. He also received all sorts of accessories, games, a new iPhone, a case and some brand new sneakers – a pair of Yeezys and Nike Air Jordans – to round out the life-changing morning. Cheering friends from Make-A-Wish New Jersey and Jersey Mike’s were there to greet the Edison youngster with signs – “Happy Wish Day,” “It’s Your Wish Day, Victor,” and “Wish Granted” – and his family – father Victor, mother Carolina, sister Velinda and best friend Rhys Brenton.

Crazy money and sneakerheads: Steve Duin column

Crazy money and sneakerheads: Steve Duin column Updated Mar 13, 2021; Facebook Share In the dog days of the pandemic, a 19-year-old University of Oregon dropout named Joe Hebert gave a Bloomberg Business reporter the inside scoop on his sneaker-resale adventures, a decision that cost his mother, Ann, her elite job at Nike. Marketing is an essential part of sneakerhead culture, and “West Coast Joe” apparently decided his brand would be well-served by a Bloomberg cover story. Along the way, he told reporter Joshua Hunt that growing up in Portland gave him quite an edge in the insatiable quest for the product, or “kicks,” he could flip:

Slobby s Sneak Peak: Tucson s Guru of Gaudy Vintage Returns With Resale Footwear Shop On Fourth Avenue

If you ask internationally known vintage goods dealer Robert Slobby Robby Hall, reselling high-end streetwear sneakers is a lot like being a luxury used car salesman. The Netflix star is opening his newest concept on Saturday, Feb. 27, Generation Cool Sneaks, next to his flagship 90s retro store Generation Cool. It s no different than next door, Slobby says. If it s people cleaning out their garage and they want to sell us their old Air Jordan collection, that s cool. If it s newer, hypebeast stuff, that s cool too. We curate it, we make them look good, we put them under lights and sell it for about three times more. This is what we do. It s no different than a used car dealership.

Behind the French Girl look: Attitude and a mix of chic and Parisian cool

February 23, 2021 Much of the appeal of the French Girl style trope goes beyond the clothes. 24s It’s difficult to think of a more mythologised style trope than that of the “French Girl”. Who is she? Well, she’s model Caroline de Maigret with her perfectly undone hair and skinny jeans. She’s va-va-voom like Brigitte Bardot and Catherine Deneuve. She’s Jane Birkin with a basket bag (Birkin is of course English, but practically more French Girl than an actual French Girl), and a French Vogue editor smoking between shows during fashion week. Her only make-up is a perfect red lipstick . She wears ankle boots and a little top she found in a flea market while cycling with a baguette. She reads Proust over dinner and carries her grandmother’s vintage Chanel bag.
