A 22-year-old Northampton County man was arrested late Friday afternoon in Wilson Borough and is being charged in a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Allentown, authorities report.
Dondre Prince Simon-Jeremiah was taken into custody by Easton and Allentown police and U.S. marshals about 4:30 p.m. in the 1500 block Lehigh Street, just west of the border with Easton, authorities said.

There is a remarkable statistic when it comes to Easton’s public safety personnel and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Easton Emergency Squad, which has answered calls throughout the coronavirus’ nearly one-year run, has had none of its 10 full-time employees get sick with the sometimes-devastating disease, according to Bud Shull, the squad’s president.
Four part-time employees tested positive after exposure from other places they work, Shull said. But that didn’t impact anyone else on the squad and just caused scheduling issues, Shull said.

A 55-year-old Easton woman who was allegedly selling crystal methamphetamine was arrested Wednesday morning in a drug raid in the 600 block of Northampton Street in the city.
Several controlled buys were done from Margaret A. Allen, who was living in an apartment at 607 Northampton, city police said in court papers.
