MIDDLETOWN, CT (Contributed article): Registration is open for the next series of Skill Up for Manufacturing, a free five-week pre-apprentice training program created to expand Connecticut s manufacturing workforce pipeline and rapidly connect residents 18 years or older who are underemployed or unemployed with manufacturing employers.

ILLINOIS Flurries and light snow are expected Tuesday, while the rest of the week will be dry and cloudy. According to the National Weather Service, light snow will develop Tuesday afternoon and become more widespread in the evening/early overnight hours.
The weather service said light snow accumulations of up to one inch are possible.
Wednesday and Thursday will warm slightly with a high of 36 degrees on Wednesday and 41 on Thursday. According to the weather service, Friday will be chillier with a high of 29 degrees. Lows on Friday night could dip down into the single digits.

WAUKESHA,WI A Waukesha County correctional officer is accused of sexual assault of an inmate while on duty. Matthew Herman, 49, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court with three counts of second-degree sexual assault by correctional staff and one count of misconduct in office, according to online court records. Herman s cash bond was set at $30,000 and his next court date is Thursday. An inmate said in July or August 2020, Herman showed her an inappropriate picture of himself and touched her inappropriately, according to the criminal complaint.
