Naperville Park District staff has set up the outdoor ice skating rinks for the 2020-21 winter season, however, the final step depends on nature to provide the extended period of cold temperatures needed for the ice to form a good skating surface. Typically, the ice skating season runs from Dec. 15 to Feb. 15, if weather conditions allow.
For the 2020-21 season, the following ice rinks will be lighted and open until 10 p.m.:

Since mid-November, Naperville donors have been dropping off new, unwrapped toys at Naperville Park District facilities to assist the Park Police in collecting toys for children in need in the area.
The Naperville collection is part of the DuPage County Toys For Tots program, hosted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

This year, Naperville Park District will not be hosting the traditional Countdown at the Carillon event at the Millennium Carillon in Moser Tower, due to the pandemic.
However, City Carillonneur Tim Sleep recorded a video of the carillon bell, Big Joe, striking midnight, followed by the bells playing Auld Lang Syne so that anyone can add this special element to their celebration of the New Year at home.
