Clydebank businesses have reasons to be cheerful, says local Chamber guru

BUSINESS owners in Clydebank, like everywhere else across the country, have had an incredibly tough time of it during the pandemic. But as a full year passes since the first cases of Covid-19 that utterly transformed our lives, the chief executive of the area’s Chamber of Commerce says there is plenty of reason for local independent businesses to feel optimistic. The Scottish Government’s strategic framework for a safe return to “normal” life has been criticised in some quarters as being too cautious, but Damon Scott says he’s still hopeful that better times for the area’s economy aren’t too far away.
