A Perfect Planet (BBC1, 8pm-9pm) David Attenborough returns to shed more light on natural phenomena crucial to life on Earth. This time he’s turning his attention to the Sun.
Monday:
The Pembrokeshire Murders (ITV, 9pm) In a three-part series, Luke Evans returns to his native Wales to play DS Steve Wilkins who, in 2006, decides to reopen two cold cases involving double murders committed in the 1980s.

Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild (C5, 9pm)
Pooch Perfect (BBC1, 8pm) IT’S not just humans who felt in desperate need of a trim during lockdown – there were also more hairy hounds around. Luckily, any canines who aren’t feeling their cutest can get a new look thanks to this series, which is searching for Britain’s best dog groomer. It’s hosted by Sheridan Smith, with a little help from her fluffy co-host Stanley. In the opening episode, four contestants show what they can do when faced with one of the most popular breeds to grace British salons – the long-haired Shih-Tzu.

Death in Paradise saw the start of another new beginning as DI Jack Mooney (played by Ardal O Hanlon) said farewell to Saint Marie and headed back to London. His departure meant there was a vacancy to fill and DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) arrived to take on the job. Actor Little will be heading up the cast when Death in Paradise returns for series 10.
