Falling limb claims life of tree service worker - Delaware Business Now

Delaware Business Now A tree service worker died on Monday. Early Monday afternoon, Newark Police and other first responders were called to the 200 block of Walker Way.  The man, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene by New Castle County paramedics. An investigation by Newark Police determined that two men, working for  a tree cutting service, had been working on a tree in the residence’s backyard.  One of the men was struck by a piece of the tree that fell and suffered fatal injuries. The name of the man is being withheld as notification of next of kin is not complete.

Biden to discuss gun violence with Chicago Police Supt David Brown, NYC s Eric Adams, others on Monday

Mayor Muriel Bowser; Eric Adams, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor; and other local officials, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned. The afternoon meeting at the White House comes as Chicago continues to grapple with unrelenting gun violence and days after Mayor Lori Lightfoot asked Biden at O’Hare Airport to speed up his plans announced June 23 to send additional federal resources to Chicago within a month. Brown at a news conference last week emphasized how Chicago shootings are done with illegal guns brought into Chicago.
