Airlines, tobacco and telecoms among key sectors in coming week, UK inflation data to provide macro flavour
Companies in the diary for the week include Ryanair and easyJet, as well as Vodafone, Imperial Brands and Royal Mail
The coming week is scheduled to see updates and results from a plethora of blue-chip brands, with Ryanair and easyJet representing the airline sector while tobacco group Imperial Brands, telecoms giant Vodafone and Royal Mail among the notable reporters.
However, other major brands are also in the pipeline including B&Q owner Kingfisher, publisher group Future and utility firm National Gird, while in the macro diary UK inflation data will be the headline news alongside new unemployment figures.

Gordon Marr has relinquished his role as chief executive of Hansard Global and handed the reins to Graham Sheward, who assumed the role with immediate effect.
Marr announced his impending retirement in March but will remain with the company until 30 September to ensure a smooth handover, the firm said.
International experience
Sheward brings more than 20 years’ international financial services experience to Hansard Global, having worked in a wide range of jurisdictions; including the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Ireland, Mauritius, Singapore and South Africa.

He moved to the Isle of Man in 1999 with NatWest Offshore, and subsequently held various executive roles with Zurich Financial Services before becoming managing director of Close Brothers Group, Offshore Banking Division.
Hansard names CEO successor as Gordon Marr steps down
Hansard Group has named Graham Sheward as successor to longstanding chief executive Gordon Marr with immediate effect, the Isle of Man-headquartered international life company announced to the stock market this morning (10 May).
Marr flagged his impending retirement from the company in March this year, and he is now stepping down as CEO and director on Sheward s appointment while remaining with the company to ensure a smooth handover until formally leaving on 30 September this year.
