43 Rich Eisen’s voice was laced with incredulity as he tried to process what was happening, and who could blame him? Sitting just to his right in the guest chair at Eisen’s television studio in Los Angeles was Marc Lore, a 5-foot-10(ish), 48-year-old Italian-American math whiz who was looking Eisen straight in the eye and telling him he wanted to race the great Jerry Rice in the 40-yard dash.
“I told him, Marc, you want no piece of that man,” Eisen said.
At the time, in 2020, Lore was the head of Walmart’s eCommerce operations and was returning for a second year at Eisen’s “Run Rich Run” event at the NFL Combine to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. After donating $100,000 to the cause and running a 5.37-second time in jeans and a blazer in 2019, Lore told Eisen he wanted to make the event bigger and better the second time around.

Shane set Mavericks single-season records with 81 catches for 1,676 yards and 18 touchdowns while starting all 15 games of the 2019 season and put himself atop the school s career leaderboard by finishing with 227 catches, 4,297 yards and 54 touchdown catches. He also was named to the D2Football.com All-Decade Second Team.
Brandon, who played at Concordia-Moorhead and in the CFL before getting his first NFL shot with Minnesota, appeared in 16 games for the Vikings in 2018. His lone catch for Minnesota (on just two targets) gained 23 yards in a win against the Jets in New York. He joined Carolina in 2019 and remains with the Panthers.

During his time in the NFL, former Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was known not only for his strong arm but for his speed, making several highlight-type plays in his 13 seasons in the league.
Even at 40, Vick is still fast for his age, and he recently displayed his speed while helping a charitable cause. Vick posted a 4.72 40-yard dash time, surprising a lot of people with the posted time.

Yet Vick was a little disappointed with the number he posted, which was four-tenths of a second slower than the 40-time when he was tested at the Combine in 2001.
