LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) and Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) are urging motorists to drive safely after a tragic week on the state’s roadways.
“This past week, 15 people lost their lives in traffic crashes across Nebraska,” said Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “Every life lost is a tragedy, and this past week should serve as a stark reminder for everyone of how critical it is to drive safely.”
Although each crash was different, there are steps travelers can take to reduce the risk of being involved in devastating wrecks.
Four people have died after a crash near Scribner on Highway 275. According the NSP, investigators believe a Pontiac sedan was traveling south when it tried to pass another vehicle, lost control and hit a northbound semi.
