LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska Athletics) – Joe Acker’s two-run, seventh-inning single broke a 5-5 tie, as Nebraska rallied to remain in first place in the Big Ten with an 11-5 win over Northwestern Saturday afternoon.
The Huskers (25-11) trailed 5-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh, but erupted for nine runs over the final two frames as part of a 16-hit attack against the Wildcats (12-18). Nebraska’s first four hitters reached to open the seventh, including a run-scoring single by Luke Roskam and a RBI double from Max Anderson to chase Wildcat reliever Jack Pagliarini and make it a one-run game. Logan Foster then tied the game with a sacrifice fly.

EVANSTON, Ill. (Nebraska Athletics) – Behind a five-run second inning, Northwestern handed the Nebraska softball team a 6-1 loss in the opening game of a four-game series Friday afternoon in Evanston, Ill.
Northwestern produced five of its six runs and six of its 10 hits in the five-run second inning. With the win, the Wildcats improved to 27-14 on the season while Nebraska fell to 21-20.
Junior right-hander Courtney Wallace took the loss for the Huskers, snapping her personal three-game winning streak. Wallace (10-8) allowed a season-high six earned runs while tossing her seventh complete game of the year.

PISCATAWAY, NJ (Nebraska Athletics) – Luke Roskam matched a career high with six RBI, including a sixth-inning grand slam, to power Nebraska to a 15-5 win over Rutgers Sunday afternoon.
Roskam went 3-for-5 and scored three times, while Jaxson Hallmark scored four runs and stole three bases for the Huskers (22-11), who bounced back from a 4-2 loss to Indiana earlier Sunday.
Nebraska used a five-run sixth inning to break open a 3-1 lead despite a 40-minute weather delay during the inning. Prior to the delay, the first two Huskers reached on a hit batter and a walk from Scarlet Knights starter Brent Teller. Kyle Muller came in and retired the first hitter he faced before walking Hallmark to load the bases. The reliever then uncorked a wild pitch to push across one run
