Scott Lycett has reached out to Ned McHenry following last weekendâs dangerous incident.
The Port Adelaide ruckmanâs sling tackle in Saturday nightâs Showdown concussed Adelaideâs McHenry, resulting in a four-game suspension.
Lycett admits it was an unfortunate incident and has since checked in with McHenry and extended the olive branch by sending over a few of South Australiaâs finest brews.
âI reached out to him the next day and gave him a message asking if he was ok,â he said on
SEN SAâs Kymbo & The Rooch.
âHe said he was fine and he had no issues with the tackle. He was all good and he said it was a part of footy and just unfortunate that it happened.

Port Adelaide ruckman Scott Lycett has been slapped with a four-game ban for his dangerous tackle on Adelaide youngster Ned McHenry.
Match Review Officer Michael Christian judged the tackle in Saturday night s Showdown to be careless conduct, severe impact and high contact, opting to send the incident directly to the Tribunal.
McHenry immediately left the field after the incident, with the Crows confirming on Tuesday that he sustained concussion and will miss their upcoming game against West Coast as a result of the competition’s new protocols around head knocks.

It was a big round of footy and there were important storylines out of all nine games.
We have selected one positive and one negative from every club’s Round 8 performance.
See our thoughts below:
Positive: Sloane back in action
It was good to see captain Rory Sloane back in action after missing four weeks with a detached retina.
Sloane battled manfully all night and even copped another hit to his eye, receiving a nasty cut as a result.
He finished with 20 disposals, 10 tackles and a goal, and tried his hardest to lead his side against the odds.
Stocks up: Super sub
Matt Guelfi provided a spark for the Bombers when he replaced Jake Stringer, who went off with a hamstring injury in the third term. In basically one quarter of football, Guelfi had eight touches, laid six tackles, had eight pressure acts and kicked a vital goal.
Stocks down: Did
Cale Hooker walk under a ladder or shatter a mirror during the week? He should have either been paid a mark, paid a free kick for a marking infringement, or a free kick for front-on contact with just a minute remaining with his side trailing by less than a kick, but the umpire swallowed the whistle and let play go on, with Jacob Hopper kicking the sealer for the Giants just minutes later.
