Washington [US], June 14 (ANI): Veteran actor Ned Beatty, known for his roles in iconic films like 'Superman', 'Network' and more, has passed away at the age of 83 due to age-related health problems.

[중앙일보] 미국 할리우드 배우 네드 비티가 13일 로스앤젤레스의 자택에서 83세를 일기로 숨졌다. 로이터 통신과 미국 뉴욕타임스(NYT) 등에 따르면 비티의 소속사인 ‘쉘터 엔터테인트먼트 그룹’은 이날 성명을 내고 “네드가 오늘 아침 가족과 사랑하는 이들에게 둘러싸인 채 자연사했다”고 밝혔다. 1937년 미국 켄터키주 루이빌에서 태어난 뒤 오랫동안 지역 극장에서 연기 경력을 쌓았고 1972년 존 부어맨 감독의 ‘서바이벌 게임’을 통해 영화에 데뷔했다.

Deliverance as Bobby Trippe, the happy-go-lucky member of a male river-boating party terrorised by backwoods thugs.
The scene in which Trippe is brutalised became the most memorable in the film and established Beatty as an actor whose name moviegoers may not have known but whose face they always recognised.
