Bibliophile bookstore opening Saturday in downtown Dover

DOVER If you agree with British author Lucy Dillon that a town without a bookshop is a town without a soul, you might be heartened to know that a new one will soon open downtown. I think that a bookstore is a pretty essential part of a town, especially a small town, not just in selling books, but a place for people to gather, said Dave Jones, who has started a bookstore with wife Sara to share the couple s love of books and learning. You don t have to buy food or drink to sit around and talk about books. The Bibliophile: For the Love of Books will open Saturday at 241 W. Third St. Official store hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. it may be open at other times as the proprietors schedule allows.
