Holds pick-up window hours will remain the same, as will staff availability by telephone and email. In-building appointments have resumed.
How it works:
Search the online catalog for items you would like to read, watch or listen to.
Place your hold using your Library Card number and PIN (typically either the last four digits of your phone number or the last four digits of your card number.)
Wait until you receive an email, call, or text saying your item is waiting on the hold shelf.
A TIME capsule containing voice recordings of experiences during the coronavirus pandemic has been buried near a Conwy library. The capsule, dug beneath the Conwy Culture Centre, also includes a library card and a photograph of school pupils at the former school site. It marked the one-year anniversary of the opening of the building which relocated the Deganwy, Llandudno Junction and Conwy libraries. It also features new heritage displays and pictures related to the history of Conwy. Colwyn Bay county councillor Abdul Khan said the site is “very special” to him personally and that he hopes future generations will get a glimpse of what life was like in the 2010s.

(StatePoint) Is your family distance-learning? Having the resources you need at home can be the key to success. Here are a few tools to consider as you navigate an unusual school year:
• A Library Card: If students lack access to the school’s physical library, your public library can be an invaluable fount of information to turn to this school year. While it’s true that some library systems have limited their print materials available for checkout, keep in mind that many offer a rich collection of electronic resources, which can be checked out instantaneously from the safety of home.
