UCSB came out firing in its first NCAA Men’s Volleyball Tournament appearance in 10 years.
The third-seeded Gauchos hit .567 in the first set against Pepperdine and outlasted the Waves in four sets, 25-23, 25-22, 22-25, 28-26 on Tuesday in a quarterfinal match in Columbus, Ohio.

Brianna Trujillo knocked 4 of 7 three-point attempts and scored 20 points. Caia Trimble was an impact on both ends of the floor. She scored 12 points had eight assists and six steals.
Isabelle Goebel was Santa Barbara’s leading rebounder with nine boards.
