STAUNCH supporters of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, inaugurated a presidential campaign movement tagged, ‘The South-West Agenda for him in readiness for the 2023 presidency.
Ahead of the inauguration, a campaign committee led by former Minister of Works, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, from Ekiti State, had visited the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, and the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, for prayers in their respective palaces, on Monday.
Whereas Tinubu has yet to make open clarification about his presidential ambition, opinions are rife that the former Lagos State governor has his eye on the presidency in 2023.

Present at the Mauve 21 Event Centre venue of the inauguration of SWAGA 2023 campaign were political allies, supporters, loyalists and disciples of the National Leader of the APC, Punch is reporting.
Among the loyalists were former minister of state for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro; Chairman, Planning Committee of SWAGA 2023, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, Senator Adesoji Akanbi, representing Oyo South Senatorial District; former House of Representatives member, Otunba Abayomi Ogunnusi.

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun’s message congratulating Anthony Joshua after the boxer defeated Kubrat Pulev to retain his IBF, WBA and WBO titles on Saturday has sparked criticisms from Nigerians on social media.
The Ogun State Governor joined other eminent Nigerians like the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, former vice president Atiku Abubakar and Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, in congratulating Joshua on his victory.
Abiodun in his congratulatory message, said Joshua’s victory was a justification of the state’s investment in sports and youth development.
