In 2019 Ottawa Police charged Loehr with 22 sexual assault and sexual interference offences against 11 students. He was convicted on 13 of the charges against seven children. Ottawa Police say Loehr taught middle school level music in the west end of Ottawa between 2000 and 2003. He also taught privately in his home. In April, Loehr was sentenced in Yorkton Provincial Court to 1.7 years in prison on three counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference. He was found guilty in Wynyard Provincial Court in November 2020. His sentencing was delayed until April due to a combination of the COVID-19 pandemic and bad weather.

–A fire ban is in effect for the R.M.s of Wallace and Orkney and the City of Yorkton. The City of Yorkton ban applies to outdoor fire pits between the hours of 11pm and 11am. This ban does not include the use of propane or charcoal cooking appliances. This ban will remain in effect until adequate moisture and humidity levels are present.

Wednesday was the end of an almost 2 month run in the Western Hockey League’s East Division hub in Regina, but it also spelled the completion of the WHL career of Foam Lake’s Kaleb Bulych.
Bulych and the Swift Current Broncos’ wrapped up their 24 game abbreviated schedule last night (Wed) with an overtime loss to the Prince Albert Raiders.
“It’s been pretty surreal right now, but I’m super grateful for time in the WHL. Not a lot of players get to spend a lot of time in that high-level league like I did so I’m happy to have had the opportunity to improved myself as a player and person,” Bulych said.
